During the warmer times of the year, we will do everything we can to protect your purchase from melting or “blooming.” Temperature fluctuations naturally cause chocolate to bloom, where the cocoa butter separates. Bloomed chocolate is perfectly consumable and doesn’t affect flavor, but may be less attractive. It often looks like it has a white coating, which is just the cocoa butter.
